All About The Lightning Artz
Our Crafty Journey
Art has always been apart of human existence from the time when the cave men drew images on the walls of their caves and on rocks with their sharp tools and crayons.
We have been able to decipher a lot about our history and how we have evolved over time. From medieval time although to civilization.
Overtime the African culture has lost it's uniqueness, we have traded Africa and what's African for civilization and that has robbed us of our identity.
Hence, we are covered by a huge mass of dark clouds of identity crisis. We want to be everyone else and everything else except of course African. We conflict within our selves about who we really are.
At the Lightning Artz we represent the dawning of a new era, a continuity of our story, our narrative. We tell the African story the African way via our arts and crafts. We redefine modern arts, removing the watermarks that colonial voices has used to taint our identity. We tell the African story in our language, in our own way. We make available pottery and sculptures. Paintings and craft works. we ushers in an era of Lightning bolts which tears through the huge dark clouds and gives light to our dark confused minds, saving us from the web of western culture that has made us forget who we are, our story our roots. The Lightning Artz first opened its doors in Dec 2019 in a small, undistinguished location. We aim to be a one-stop-Pottery Shop for makers and crafters of all kinds. We offer a wide range of pottery selection. Come and visit us. We can't wait to meet you and see what we're creating.
